Superintendent Dr. Carlondrea Hines was the featured guest at the recent "Coffee with Us" event, hosted by St. Louis Park Community Education. The series brings together members of our senior programs and special guests in an informal setting. Dr. Hines visited and shared more about her personal journey and her vision for the future of the district.
During the session, Dr. Hines spoke candidly about her experiences growing up and the values that drive her leadership. She also highlighted her commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Dr. Hines believes each student can achieve at high levels when given the right supports to succeed. Different pathway options are necessary for students, and St. Louis Park Public Schools provides a many options at all grade levels for students to grow into themselves.
“Our purpose is to facilitate learning. It is the contextual skills that are transferable, and how we master learning is by practice. It is about how we teach students to come into a new way of thinking,” she shared.
Her vision for the district centers on equity, innovation, and preparing students for success in an ever-changing world.
The event allowed for a meaningful exchange of ideas between Dr. Hines and the community, reinforcing the district's mission to engage families and stakeholders in shaping the future of education in St. Louis Park.
